Initially fine and warming up nicely but with a cool SE wind. PM - rain.

1 Wheatear (Male on fence-line east of beach carpark) ,

3 Black Redstart (Male and 2 female types Morston Quay) ,

4 Great White Egret (Billy's Wash and Simmonds generally and several flights around reserve ) ,

1 Spoonbill (Whitwell/Simmonds) ,

9 Ruff (Pats and Simmonds) ,

5 Cetti's Warbler (Singing mainly Catchwater and from Daukes) ,

9 Lesser White-fronted Goose (Initially on North Scrape having flown in from Blakeney and then on Simmonds although they did take an early afternoon flight to Blakeney Harbour.) ,

17 Dunlin (Simmonds) ,

1 Merlin (Male over reedbeds PM) ,

1 Buzzard (Usual bird perched up east of Simmonds Scrape) ,

1 Red Kite (Over reserve) ,

5 Marsh Harrier (Over reserve and some early morning sky-dancing) ,

2 Snipe (Simmonds) ,

1 Jack Snipe (In flight Simmonds to Pats and lost ) ,

Cool with a sharp wind from the SE increasing in intensity. Reasonable light.

3 Peregrine (Adult male and female over Eye Field with male then feeding on small prey after the female flew west. Later a sub-adult male putting on a stunning display over the reserve and even landing next to the Lesser White Fronted geese who remained totally unconcerned by the presence.) ,

3 Red Kite (Feeding around reserve) ,

1 Buzzard (Perched up east of Simmonds) ,

5 Marsh Harrier (Adult male and four females including a wing-tagged bird (red tag only on ? left wing - unable to read).g) ,

2 Kestrel (Male and female hunting) ,

9 Lesser White-fronted Goose (On SE corner of Simmonds for most of my time at Daukes, then onto the water before being flushed by a Marsh Harrier and off high west.) ,

2 Pintail (Drakes on Simmonds) ,

4 Great White Egret (Two Simmonds and 2 Billy's Wash) ,

1 Spoonbill (Adult in from the west to Simmonds) ,
