1 Spoonbill (Sub-Ad in off from wayout, over towards BP. Always something to surprise.) ,

Heavy rain early on. SSE 20 gusting 25mph.

c.30 Razorbill (At least 10 close inshore in several small groups. Group of 15+ East. General increase as is usual for early Oct.) ,

c.60 Red-throated Diver (Constant trickle East, several groups of 4 & 5. Some West too.) ,

1 Little Gull (Ad East.) ,

c.50 Kittiwake (Numbers pushing West after the early rain. Once again Arctic Skua fodder.) ,

3 Arctic Skua (Sub-Ad DP and a very distinctive Juv DP. Bright white ‘Headlights’ to leading edge of each wing. Working as a duo to beat up the Kitties. Second DP through some time after the duo had pushed off East.) ,

8 Common Tern (Through East foraging as they went) ,

c.25 Sandwich Tern (Push East with some stragglers foraging just offshore) ,

3 Red-breasted Merganser (Redheads dashing West.) ,

2 Arctic Skua (Gorgeous Ad PP with a small spanking ginger Juv, working in tandem, giving jinking-gyp to the many Kitties. Skuatastic. ) ,

3 Common Tern (Working the surface close inshore for whitebait.) ,
