Light cloud cover, occasional sunny spells. Westerly breeze, F3-4.

1 Caspian Gull (4CY dropped onto Simmonds briefly mid-evening, headed off west) ,

1 Black-tailed Godwit (European) (Juvenile giving superb views in front of Teal Hide again) ,

55 Black-tailed Godwit (Icelandic) (Still 20+ juveniles) ,

1 Turnstone (7 juveniles in-off and landed on Simmonds mid-evening ) ,

4 Wood Sandpiper (Minimum count, three flushed by Marsh Harrier on Pat's plus at least two on Simmonds) ,

1 Dunlin (145 minimum count) ,

30 Ruff (Nice mix of males, a couple of females and half a dozen juveniles) ,

7 Green Sandpiper ,

10 Snipe ,

2 Yellow-legged Gull (Both 5CY, both on Simmonds ) ,

40 Lesser Black-backed Gull (Excellent mix of graellsii, intermedius and presumed Dutch intergrades as well) ,

10 Ringed Plover (Tundra) (Minimum count from the two scrapes, could have been more. So striking! ) ,

Occasional sunny spells but generally increasingly cloudy with a cool, freshening easterly breeze.

1 Caspian Gull (Nice juvenile dropped in to Simmonds around 1915) ,

1 Black-tailed Godwit (European) (Another new juvenile nominate bird with the Icelandics on Pat's ) ,

60 Black-tailed Godwit (Icelandic) (Including at least 22 juveniles) ,

2 Bar-tailed Godwit (Both juveniles with the Blackwits on Pat's ) ,

2 Wood Sandpiper (Single juveniles on Pat's and Simmonds) ,

6 Green Sandpiper ,

140 Dunlin (How good is it to see a three figure flock of Dunlin on the marsh... ) ,

6 Spotted Redshank (Single juvenile at the back of Pat's then a flock of five came across the reserve from the beach around 1845) ,

1 Yellow-legged Gull (5CY on Simmonds ) ,

1 Herring Gull (Scandinavian) (Quite a surprise to see a beefy 5CY on Simmonds) ,

50 Lesser Black-backed Gull (Almost entirely intermedius, with a few paler Dutch birds in the mix ) ,

1 Mediterranean Gull (Moulting juvenile on Pat's Pool) ,

10 Snipe (All on Pat's Pool) ,
