CETTI’S WARBLER calling from Snipes’ Marsh
LITTLE GREBE 1 calling from Don’s Pool.
CANADA GOOSE Pair edge of reeds SW corner Don’s.
LAPWING 8 (at least 2 females) across E1-2-3.
OYSTERCATCHER 2 ‘chasing’ on E2 + 2 on Arnolds.
MARSH HARRIER male caught prey near Arnolds and carried it high at least as far as West Bank.
GREAT EGRET 1 east across East Bank towards Babcock; 10min later ?same flying, with full crop, west over East Bank and dropped down at Big Pool (NB: bill colour dull grey).
RINGED PLOVER 2 on Arnolds, one in display flight.

Female on nest and adding to it.Nest is in line with buddleia on north bank.Male by duck feeding area.
13:40 Female off nest – no sign of any eggs.
Meadow Lane walked length of NWT land. Family of 3 (2 adults and one very brown juvenile) just east of rusty iron and galvanised gates.
WADERS
None seen viewing Salthouse marshes from Meadow Lane.

David & Pat WilemanKeymasterGEESE: Fight between Greylag and pair of Canada on Don’s Pool at c.07:00, Greylag left and Canada appeared to go into nest. On my way back at c.08:45 Canada pair were swimming around on Don’s, no sign og Greylags. Not sure whose nest it is/was!

CANADA GOOSE pair on Don’s Pool (one deliberately ousted Greylag from nest in reeds (at least 5 eggs visible). The Greylag flew to East Bank and stayed there. Canada poked the eggs briefly and stood on nest edge 2 mins then back to partner on pool. 5 mins later, Canada went back to the Greylag nest (greylag still on E.Bank) and stood for 2-3 mins then back into pool. 15 mins later the Greylag was back on nest and the 2 Canadas were on E2.

LITTLE GREBE 1 on Snipes.
POCHARD Male and Female diving and preening on Don’s Pool (c. 10.15 to 11.00).
LITTLE EGRET 8 circling, then all into North Foreland, then all out again and joined 2 more on E2 (Total 10).
BEARDED TIT 1 low down on edge of reeds W side of Don’s Pool – then flew West and lost to sight by Bishop’s Hide. Few mins later another (??doubt same) on the reeds W side of Don’s Pool.
REED BUNTING Feeding low down in reeds on W side of Don’s Pool.
REDSHANK Display and song west side Arnolds.
LITTLE RINGED PLOVER 1 seen, also heard a few times, Serp5/4 area.
STOCK DOVE 1 often calling from North Foreland.
SWALLOW 2 on wires Beach Rd/K1
LAPWINGS 4 nests c. 12 adults across E1-2-3.
E.2: pair mating S half E2 then several mins later presume this pair ON, SE of southern-most water, male initially ON then later Female ON. Another ON East of Serp 2. Another ON Serp 6.
E3: 2 Lapwings feeding at NW.
E1: Female ON very close to the reeds dividing E3/E1 (running W-E). 2 more feeding further South.
