Kelling Water Meadow and Quags

This covers the area in the parish of Kelling north of the A149 and west of Weybourne Camp and Muckleburgh Hill. It can be accessed by walking down the eastern part of Meadow Lane from Kelling village or from Salthouse either along the beach or the western part of Meadow Lane from the A149 just east of Beach Rd. There are no car parks but roadside parking is possible with care.

The hedges along Meadow Lane from Kelling Village can hold migrants in spring and autumn when Quail are often heard calling from the fields to the west. The pool holds ducks and waders. The Quags north of the pool often has Jack Snipe, mainly in autumn. The shingle beach at Kelling Hard is another sea-watching point.
