We all lead very busy lives and we are aware that many people in retirement do not want to become committed to regular involvement but would be happy with some.
There are specific areas where we could use some additional help in the running of the club. In most cases this is on an occasional basis and does not require too much commitment. The more people we can get the less time they need to give and it gives cover if others are not available, for example, if we ever get to taking holidays again.
This new website is now live and settling down but there is much work involved in keeping the information on it up to date plus looking for ways we can improve it in the future. We are looking to get a small group of people who can jointly cover this work. If you feel you have any skills or experience that could help, even if a little out of date, do please get in touch with Pat Wileman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Although not certain, it is likely that winter meetings will be able to commence again this October and it is our intention to run a full program through to March. We need assistance with the refreshments for our meetings. We provide tea, coffee and biscuits and require volunteers to make and serve them on the night. Can you help?
In addition to the above specific requests there are number of other areas where you could help. This could be anything from writing articles for the newsletter or website, organizing or helping with events, taking part in surveys, helping with recording or anything else you can think of that we should be doing. You don’t have to live in the Cley area, there are many things that can be done remotely as we have all found during the last year.
If you would like to be more involved and could help in any way, please contact me
