2 Eider (Ducks strongly West.), 5 Great Crested Grebe (Several in surf getting almost trashed by the pounding. Others their wings whirring Auk-like to keep them flying.), 1 Red-necked Grebe (Battling West it’s huge feet flapping like rudders.), 2 Slavonian Grebe (Unruffled as one drifted by West in the heavy surf.), 12 Grey Plover (Impressive posse of 11 fighting their way West.), 2 Kittiwake (Blown through like a train.) So... ), 130 Ringed Plover (+, Pushed off their beach roost at High Water.), 4 Grey Plover (Through West, black armpits flashing.), 30 Dunlin (+, Accompanying the several large posses of RP.), 8 Turnstone (+, Associated with posses of other waders.), 1 Great Skua (Relatively close in, East.), 8 Little Gull (Always a treat to see, winking their black underwing. 4000 Pink-footed Goose (+, May well have been more. Once again evocative sight and sound coming to roost on Pat’s at the dimming. Goosebumps. Just love em.), 1 Goosander (‘Redhead’ crashed on to Simmond’s. Stunning!), 1 Peregrine Falcon (Female although distant, perched up. May have been our regular 2nd CY.), 7 Avocet (Increase from yesterday??), 7 Dunlin (At least. Mixed in with Starling and Teal.), 1 Ruff (Strutting through the many Teal, Simmond’s ), 1 Turnstone (Energetically feeding where it could. Fill dyke on Simmond’s ), 3 Yellow-legged Gull (Regular Ad plus 2nd Win & 1st Win in with 500+ LWHG.) [Graham Fellows]
