1 Spoonbill (Ethereal as it flew into Simmond’s from North Scrape in the heart of the snow blast like some huge ‘white winger’. Snowbird!), 1 Caspian Gull (Regular but unpredictable 2nd Win in again just before the snow set in. Looking fine in the heavy flurry.), 1 Great Black-backed Gull (C-R RL: Black : White characters stained . (EM pick-up). Failed to read it in dull, rainy conditions. Finally, MAG nailed it : JE566, and verified origin. Nice one, Norwegian. 25yrs old. Very first time seen out of Norway. Wow! Who said Gulls are unexciting.) [Graham Fellows]
